After 3 years of wonderful professional Zen Shiatsu training at the Bath School of Shiatsu and Yoga I qualified in 2021. You can find me and other qualified practitioners on The Shiatsu Society website.

Before becoming a shiatsu practitioner I enjoyed working in roles involving environmental awareness, public access to coast & countryside and nature conservation for many years, both public and private sector, whilst also bringing up a lively family of children, dogs and cats. I also had early experience in my late teens and early twenties doing care work in people’s own homes, so I have a broad experience of a wide variety of people.

My dream of becoming a shiatsu practitioner began after experiencing the effects of gentle yet powerful shiatsu 28 years ago! I now offer home visits in the local Blandford and wider Dorset area including Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Swanage and the Purbeck area.

There is a wide range of shiatsu styles; I’m told my style is nurturing and gentle, but sessions are adapted to each client individually. I am experienced with working with all sorts of people for all sorts of reasons, maybe you simply would like a relaxing recharge, or are caring for your well-being, strengthening your immunity or perhaps managing existing conditions. My valued regular clients include for example elders with dementia and/or arthritis, people of all ages managing long-term conditions from inflammatory diseases to physical disability with limited mobility to Parkinsons disease and also generally healthy people who come simply to profoundly relax and de-stress, strengthen their immune system and look after their long-term health and well-being.

We can carry out your session on a futon (the traditional method, on a comfortable specialist mattress), or a treatment table, or adapted to you.

I am accredited and insured through The Shiatsu Society.
